Hashtag IJ

This month I've been getting to know Indre founder of Hashtag IJ who is hugely talented and hand makes all of her bags and accessories. She is also part of Marie Claire's Inspire & Mentor programme.

Indre makes these clutches in 3 different colours which you can see here. I would 100% recommend them - what an elegant twist to a New Year's Eve outfit. I can't wait to use it!

Urban Outfitters SS14 Press Day...

I'm instantly in a festival mood after the Urban Outfitters SS14 Press Day. There's just something about UO that's universally recognisable as the "too cool" place to shop. No offence - I mean if you can pull of a yellow rain mac (Paddington Bear style) and Jesus creepers you basically win at life. But you know what I mean, you love the clothes but when you're in the store you feel like you shouldn't be (don't tell me that's just me?). Well this Press Day was probably the most welcoming thing ever (apart from that it was around the back of a car park) but it did have it's own living room.

The clothes were on top. Black, white and sporty all over. Major skull scenes. Flowers everywhere. Nautical. You know the drill for Spring/Summer. Enough yakking I'll let you see for yourself.

Leah and Paul Weller for DAKS

It seems British Heritage brand Daks have enlisted Paul and Leah Weller as their very own Style Council (Bad joke, soz). The father/daughter duo were seen out and about in London this week shooting for the Brit brand's latest collection. Expect rustic red tones, tartan and turtlenecks with a mod twist.

Want. That. Coat.

Do the Tuck In Trend...

The latest trend to try this winter is the hair tucked in trend. Have you tried it yet? Tuck those ends away under a jacket, turtleneck or statement necklace and you're good to go. Pretty easy really. Obviously a trend derived by the accidentally stylish or people who are constantly in a rush...what's next? Chipped nails? An odd socks revival? Well if the likes of Mulberry, Chanel, Hermes and Belstaff are doing it you know it makes sense (and as long as you've got at least shoulder-length it's completely cost effective too).

See below for how to wear tips.

Mulberry - Chanel - Hemes - Belstaff

This trend screams effortless and works well with relaxed polo neck jumpers teamed with a tailored coat draped over the shoulders. Or try something a little more jazzy with a statement fur coat. But the general rules are...basically anything with a neckline will do. Oh and hair, you have to have hair.

Virtual Dress Up With Céline, Stella and More...

You know when your wardrobe gets to that stage where you have so many clothes yet NOTHING to wear. That's me right now. My clothing options are either black, baggy or blah. A big eBay session is in order - out with the old and in with the new. Seeing as I can't quite justify splashing squillions on designer clothing I'm doing the next best thing. Yes. That's right. I'm photoshopping my head onto model bodies and hunting the high street for the next best thing.

APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE: IMAGES ARE (very poorly) PHOTOSHOPPED WITH MY BIG HEAD!

Candy coated in Céline.

Punk it up in a Versace style or look tough in tartan like Stella McCartney.

Go radiantly in rouge with this ASOS selection of red dresses.

Who's the tallest of them all?

My biggest celebrity spot in life has to be a rare sighting of the one and only Kate Moss. But you know when you see a celebrity in real life and you think "wow, kind of lacking several inches in the height department..." compared to pictures?

Well since seeing a picture of L'Wren Scott, AKA Mick Jagger's bit of stuff, it got me thinking how tall are some of these fashion designers? And the way my brain works this equals major exciting blog post material - similarly to when I pondered over the stylishness of said designers.

Bonus points for Price is Right HIGHER/LOWER chanting.

Kicking off with Marc Jacobs who enters the height chart at a respectable 5ft 8"...

No that's not an infant...It's SJP with 6 foot 4” L'wren Scott towering over her.

Stella McCartney stands at a slightly average 5 foot 4” with RiRi.

I have to say I was surprised by this one, it's the ever controversial Karl Lagerfeld at 5 foot 10”.

We always knew they were pint-sized it's The Row's Ashley Olsen 5.2" & Mary Kate Olsen at 5.1”

And taking it back to the old school it's Coco Chanel who stood ever so elegantly at 5 foot 5".

You know when Clueless is still TOTALLY relevant 18 years on?

Did you know it's nearly 20 years since Clueless was released (1995)? Seeing as the 90s are SO ON TREND RIGHT NOW - oh hello crop tops! Oh hi there backpacks! - it got me thinking...this film is just, like, totally timeless!

A legendary piece of cinema which may have been created a lifetime ago (18 years is a definite lifetime) but in my eyes the wisdomous words of Cher, Dionne and sometimes Travis are still so relevant to today's population. Case in point.

Cher: He does dress better than I do, what would I bring to the relationship?

Cher: Would you call me selfish?
Dionne: No, not to your face.

Cher: Anything you can do to draw attention to your mouth is good.

Cher: I want to do something for humanity.
Josh: How about sterilisation?

Travis: I joined this program and there's steps. There's... uh...
Cher: Twelve?
Travis: Yeah, how'd you know?
Cher: Wild guess.

Amber: She could be a farmer in those clothes.

Cher: Do you prefer fashion victim or ensembly challenged?

Cher: I feel like such a heffer. I had two bowls of Special K, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, a handful of popcorn, 5 peanut butter M&M’s and like 3 pieces of liquorice.
